TEXAS — SpaceX plans to build its own power infrastructure for the proposed Terafab project in Grimes County, including a natural gas power plant and a large battery storage system.

Riley Trettel, who leads energy and data center development at SpaceX, disclosed the plans during a public meeting in Grimes County earlier this week.

Trettel said construction would begin quickly, with civil engineering, infrastructure and foundation work expected to move forward immediately.

The comments provide additional details about the energy and construction plans for Terafab, a new factory project being advanced by two companies controlled by Elon Musk.
