SAN GABRIEL, Calif. — The historic Mission Playhouse is bringing back its popular Silent Sundays film series, inviting audiences to experience classic silent movies accompanied live by the theater's original 1924 Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
The 2026 season opens on Sunday, July 26, at 2:30 p.m., featuring Douglas Fairbanks' legendary fantasy adventure The Thief of Bagdad.
One of the highlights of the series is the live musical accompaniment performed on the Playhouse's historic Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ, recreating the authentic movie-going experience enjoyed by audiences during the silent film era.
