The Summer in San Gabriel series will continue at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, with a live performance by ABBA tribute band The Swedes at Mission Playhouse Plaza.

Made up of Swedish musicians based in Los Angeles, The Swedes will deliver a high-energy show featuring ABBA favorites such as “Dancing Queen” and “Mamma Mia.”

The band is led by Linda Frithiof, who has toured internationally portraying ABBA’s Agnetha F?ltskog. Frithiof has also performed alongside original musicians who contributed to ABBA’s albums and historic concert tours.

The summer series will continue on Thursday, July 30, at Vincent Lugo Park with a performance by Anything for Salinas and a screening of Zootopia 2.

The series concludes on Tuesday, August 4, with National Night Out in the Mission District. The event will feature family-friendly activities, opportunities to meet local public safety personnel and a live performance by Santana tribute band Smooth Sounds of Santana.

All Summer in San Gabriel events are free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in the Mission Playhouse parking lot. Folding chairs will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests may also bring their own chairs.
