
LOS ANGELES — Detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) Homicide Bureau are investigating a fatal stabbing that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man early Wednesday morning in the unincorporated community of East Rancho Dominguez.
According to LASD, deputies responded at approximately 2:00 a.m. on July 15, 2026, to the 15200 block of South Bulter Avenue following reports of a stabbing.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said a person of interest has been detained in connection with the investigation. No suspect has been formally identified, and authorities have not released information regarding a possible motive.
The Sheriff's Department emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
